Remember this, Little One… The Broken Truth, and life itself, will be mended only when one person meets another, someone from a different place or with a different face or different ways, and sees and hears herself. Only then will the people know that every person, every being, is important, and that the world was made for each of us. Old Turtle and the Broken Truth by Douglas Wood

2016-year-end

Our true self is who we really are, and is the basis for our belonging to and the sacredness of our common humanity. The true you cannot really be hurt. There’s nothing to prove or protect with the true self. It is indestructible and is your identity in God.

We ought to embrace that sacredness in every person to whom we reach out. To touch with love and understanding, broken communities in Singapore and across borders. To be the messenger of the other half of the “broken truth” that you are loved and so are they! It’s part of the journey of finding yourself, of serving others, and through this, becoming whole again.
